About Glyn
Over Four Decades of Qualified Professional Photography, with books on Royal Coffee Tables
Over forty years as a full-time professional photographer following four years in photographic higher education, first at Falmouth School of Art, then the University of Westminster (Harrow), London. Starting out as an editorial & documentary photographer I worked primarily for the yachting press plus titles such Country Life & Country Living. Clients included the National Trust, Forestry Commission, National Grid, First Hydro (HEP), S4C, ITV & more recently a large documentary exhibition project for Betsi Cadwaladr / NHS.

In 2002, I established a studio & photography gallery on Anglesey. Running a gallery has sustained me and my artwork ever since. The gallery proved so successful that I was able to move away from commercial commissions and concentrate on my landscape work, which has always been my passion. In 2023 my lovely landlord died and this led to a relocation to the exciting, history rich, destination castle town of Caernarfon. I am now part of an artisan shopping centre at Cei Llechi (Slate Quay) (near the castle, river and steam railway), where visitors will get the chance to see the work of artists and makers, including delicatessen food producers.
The move has enabled me to include a different range of prints to my existing Anglesey collection, and my work is slowly attracting the attention of new art collectors in this area of mainland North Wales. I no longer have studio space but I still enjoy shooting natural location portraits & documentary work.
I'm now immersed (literally) in maritime photography having started daily cold-water swimming over four years ago, and I'm in the sea most days where alongside my swimming I am shooting images of seascapes and coastal landscapes.
I've featured frequently on TV & radio, most notably on ITV’s “The Island Strait” series where I was filmed over a year to record my photographic life and how it's influenced by the Menai Strait that separates Anglesey from mainland Wales. Interviews about my work have appeared in numerous magazines and publications over the decades but I'm particularly pleased to have published five books of my images, two of which, "Anglesey Landscapes" Volumes 1 & 2 were bought by the Prime Minister as a Royal wedding gift for Prince William and Catherine Middleton.
I have had numerous national and international photographic accolades over the years, but ultimately the best aspect of my career is meeting real-world followers and collectors of my artwork.
