There was a need within me to keep driving to the sea, to continue my journey to its logical end, down between these buildings and stone walls, but it is now barricaded off to allow access traffic only. To pedestrians, however, this last little stretch of lane is an important and poignant link between the mountain tops and the open sea. To pass the beautifully-faced chapel on your left, before receiving the full, but previously-hidden, view of the village centre on your right, is even now perhaps the most important part of the journey. The road is our own journey. The buildings to the left and the right are avenues or opportunities to explore and investigate. Fe ewch heibio tu blaen hardd y capel ar eich chwith, cyn gweld golygfa lawn canol y pentref, a oedd gynt ynghudd, ar eich de; hon efallai, hyd yn oed yn awr, yw rhan bwysicaf eich taith. Y ffordd yw ein taith ein hunain. Yr adeiladau i’r chwith ac i’r dde yw rhodfeydd neu gyfleoedd i’w fforio a’u harchwilio.
